Though I have seen and enjoyed these, and several other zombie flicks, I still must argue that the original Dawn of the Dead is the very defintion of “badass.” From the Goblins score and the Tom Savini special effects to Romero’s trademark satire and social commentary, Dawn is an inspiration to all z-movies since. And rightfully so.
But, on to the more recent Zombieland… Does anyone else think the whole twinkie hunt was a reference to that old joke about twinkies surviving an apocalypse? I think might be alone on this one.
